I fondly remember walking up to a big pond of hippos in the Okavango delta. They couldn’t care less. But a few days later our boatsman was taking great pains to avoid them on the Zambezi river. Sometimes affectionately called “Mr Big Mouth” hippos are big gentle creatures of the African wilds. They go ashore a night to graze, then dispose of their waste in rivers and ponds at night – providing the waters with a rich set of natural nutrients. Goes great on any chain or cord.
